Cheltenham placements: working, social and cultural insights

Six vocational students, who study at the BBS1-Arnoldi Schule in Göttingen, and four undergraduate students from the VWA Göttingen are currently enjoying work experience placements organised by Delingua Training in Cheltenham.

Since arriving on 1st September 2018, the students have been gaining insights into the British way of life, and improving their English skills by staying with host families and working in a range of placements from schools, to charities, to businesses.

Whilst not in the workplace, there have been trips to the world famous Christ Church College in Oxford, as well as to the Roman Baths in the UNESCO world heritage city of Bath. In addition, students have enjoyed attending a high level rugby match between Gloucester and Bristol Bears, a humorous version of Molière’s Tartuffe, set in a modern day Asian community in Birmingham at the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, and a theatrical performance of Dracula at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham.
