It was a real pleasure for Delingua Training to welcome students from BSDHZ in Zurich, Switzerland for a 3-week retail-focused English language and work experience programme. The varied and interesting programme included a retail workshop hosted by leading UK retailer John Lewis and Partners, workshops by highly experienced retail consultant, Rachel Davies, and EFL tutor, Helen Michael, as well as a motivational skills workshop led by Stuart Langworthy – an England Football Manager!
During the three weeks the students, staying with host families in Cheltenham, had ample opportunities to improve their English as well as gain confidence in being independent by studying and working in an overseas country. Orientation and background to Cheltenham was provided via an interactive workshop at The Wilson, Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum and a stimulating guided walking tour by Jane Handoll. In addition, the students also enjoyed visiting Bath, Bristol, Gloucester, London and Oxford including a visit to the world-famous Dining Hall at Christ Church College in Oxford, which featured in the Harry Potter films.
